 In late 2006, Phany met three children, a boy named Sok,* his younger brother Virak, and Thida, their younger sister, in Banteay Meanchey Province. Pastor Phirum told Phany that these three children had never been able to go to school because their parents worked in Thailand. Sok, Virak, and Thida and their three younger siblings were living with their grandmother.
