Children at Risk Transformation project

Description

Children at Risk Transformation was established through Pastor Sophat. Pastor Sophat was introduced to Khwa village by his friend and asked to pray for the village. He was burdened by the needs of the children who were not attending school due to two main reasons; unofficial teacher fees and the need for children to support their families by picking vegetables in the field. Pastor Sophat also observed violence within some families in the village and some children who had been orphaned due to HIV/AIDS.

The project now has a community centre where children can attend supplementary classes, English language lessons, bible studies and training workshops on child rights. The project supports 30 children to integrate back into public school and Pastor Sophat builds relationships and provides encouragement to the children's families through home visits.
